Intro to Computer Aided Design and Fusion 360 @ FutureWorks MakerSpace
July 7 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
This workshop is an introduction to parametric modeling for anyone looking to develop and build projects using computer aided design (CAD). No previous experience with CAD or Fusion 360 is required.
In this workshop, you will learn about the best practices of design intent, dimensions and constraints, and top-down versus bottom-up design. You will work through hands-on projects in Autodesk Fusion 360 to learn how to navigate the user interface, sketch 2D geometry, build 3D features, and turn components into functioning assemblies.
By the end of the second workshop, you will be able to create your own 3D designs which can be 3D printed, laser cut, or CNC milled at the makerspace! You can bring your own laptop with Fusion 360 installed (it’s free for hobbyists and small businesses!) or use acomputer at the makerspace.
This class is open to adults and children age 13 and up.
You must register for this class with FutureWorks MakerSpace here.
